Description

Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is an absolute marvel, an awe-inspiring natural wonder that will leave you breathless. Brace yourself for a day of pure enchantment on this exhilarating and jam-packed tour! Prepare to be captivated as we journey along Iceland's magnificent South Coast, immersing ourselves in the beauty of glaciers, icebergs, and cascading waterfalls that will take your breath away.

Our adventure begins with a visit to the majestic Skógafoss waterfall, boasting a staggering 60-meter drop that will leave you in awe. Next, we'll make our way to the enchanting Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can walk right behind the cascading waters and emerge on the other side, feeling the sheer power of nature.

But the true highlight of our journey awaits us at the incomparable Glacier Lagoon, the largest and deepest glacier lagoon in all of Iceland. During the summer months, you'll have the option to embark on an unforgettable boat tour, gliding through a wonderland of icebergs, as if stepping into a surreal dream.

Don't forget to cast your gaze upon the mesmerizing Diamond Beach, where glistening icebergs lie stranded on the sandy shores, creating a striking contrast against the black volcanic sands. Keep your eyes peeled, for you might just catch a glimpse of playful seals frolicking in the lagoon or the sea nearby.

Prepare yourself for a day of unparalleled beauty and wonder as we make our way back to Reykjavik, hearts brimming with memories that will last a lifetime.

Hvolsvöllur

We´ll make a quick stop at the village Hvolsvöllur for refreshments and use of the restrooms.

Seljalandsfoss

The Seljalandsfoss waterfall is for many guests the highlight of this trip, as you can walk along and behind this waterfall at certain times of the year, offering a completely unique perspective; just be sure to bring a rain jacket!

Skógafoss waterfall

Along the return trip to Reykjavik, we will stop at the powerful 65 meter tall Skógafoss Waterfall where a short walk up a flight of steps will reveal one of Iceland´s most scenic views of glaciers, volcanoes and black sandy beaches. With viewpoints both above and directly next to the waterfall, photographers will have plenty of chances to capture that unique shot.

Vík í Mýrdal

The quaint town of Vík is Iceland's southernmost town with a traditional Icelandic church overlooking the ocean and the three trolls of the black sand beach. At this stop you will have the chance to grab some lunch & use the restroom, explore the town, spend time at the beach, or do some souvenir shopping at Icewear's outlet store.

Jökulsárlón

This is the main stop of the day and one of the most spectacular sightseeing spots in all of Iceland. Icebergs from Vatnajökull glacier float in the lagoon and an optional boat tour on the lagoon is available at certain times of the year. Heading down to she shoreline, you can visit the diamond beach, where icebergs often lay stranded in the black sand beach. If you´re very lucky, you might spot seals in the lagoon or just off the beach.

Fjallsárlón

One glacial lagoon is not enough! We also make a stop at the Fjallsárlón glacier lake, which offers different views and usually has less visitors.

Vík

We return to the village of Vík for a dinner stop.

Seljalandsfoss

We visit Seljalandsfoss again, and if´s already dark (depending on the time of year), it will be lit up, offering a totally different experience than seeing it in the daylight!
