SEA ANGLING

Once you are out there on the open seas of Faxaflói bay, breathing in the fresh arctic air and have caught your first fish of the day, we are absolutely certain that this is an experience you will not soon forget. We have a longstanding experience of fishing the Bay and we will sail out to the most abundant fishing grounds. We will supply all gear needed and teach you all of the best techniques available to catch a fish alongside our personal insights and secret tricks.If you should need a jacket, we also have rain jackets to keep you dry. 

Our tours are always fruitful and we commonly catch all of the main signature fish-types of the Icelandic fishing grounds including; catfish, cod, haddock, mackerel and pollack.The golden rule applies here, whatever you catch, you keep. However, if you prefer not to have a bunch of cod in your hotel room than you can donate it to the ladies in our café Bauja and they will give you a cup of coffee in exchange.At the end of the tour you can barbecue your catch on board, completely fresh and fuss-free or take it to MAR restaurant to enjoy a fully cooked meal.All our sea angling tour begin from our ticket office by the Ægisgarður pier in the Old Harbour in downtown Reykjavik. 

You can purchase tickets or exchange your voucher if you have booked a prepaid trip. Your guide will meet you on board our sea angling boat, the Faxi, which is docked at the floating pier in front of the Whale Watching Centre.
