Puffin & Bird Watching is a fun and easy adventure that begins at the Old Harbour in downtown Reykjavík. An expert guide will meet you on board one of our smaller boats. Depending on the tides and conditions on the islands, our captains will decide whether to take you to Akurey or Lundey.The islands are famous for their plentiful birdlife, not only the beautiful and quirky puffins but also ducks, Arctic terns, guillemots and cormorants.The island’s shores are rocky – but out captains know the best spots for you to get closer to the puffins in their natural habitat. If the weather is good, we might even turn off the engines so you can enjoy the tranquil settingand listen to the call of the birds.Our crew will be sure to tell you interesting facts about the wildlife and the surroundings and will do their best to answer any questions you may have.
Engey, Akurey, Lundey
Depending on the tides, we will either visit Engey, Akureyri or Lundey. These are the three islands just off Reykjavík where the birds are known to breed on during summer. The islands are protected so we are unable to set foot on them, however the captain will sail as close as possible, without disturbing any natural behaviour. Binoculars are available on board for those who want to use them.

Important information
