Reykjavik Craft Beers, Icelandic Tapas and the Inside Scoop!

If you are into local beers, local foods and getting the inside knowledge on Reykjavík and Iceland, then this is the tour for you. This popular tour is based at Bryggjan Brugghús in the heart of Reykjavík Old Harbour and is perfect for foodies and beer nerds, not to mention those wanting to learn a little more about Icelandic culture, customs and current affairs.

Your host will mix and match the history of Icelandic ales and modern craft beers with stories about how Icelanders managed to survive in this harsh environment of the far north. The event is informal and your host will discuss anything and everything under the Arctic sun, take questions and give honest advice about travelling and enjoying Iceland.

During the event you will taste at least six different beers and ales, each drink paired with a locally sourced and prepared Icelandic course, served “tapas” style. You will taste fish caught earlier the same day from the pier outside the window. Also on the menu is Icelandic lamb. Because lambs roam wild in the mountains of Iceland their meat tastes like no other.

Pro Tip: Combine the Cheers To Reykjavik with our Northern Lights & Stars tour!

"Awesome"

Having carefully researched and read the reviews of this trip, we booked and were so glad we did. The tour was well structured with plenty of time at each attraction (45 mins to 1hr at each). There were also refreshment and comfort breaks along the way. The coaches were very comfortable with WiFi and a USB charger point at each seat. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable and definitely enhanced the experience.

"An amazing experience!"

From pick up from our hotel to being dropped back at our hotel around 8 hours later, we had the most fabulous Iceland experience. Our tour guide was excellent, funny and engaging throughout...not overbearing but gave us all we needed. You get an interactive tablet (so bring headphones) that had a map and information as you drove along- excellent way of getting information as you could choose from a wide variety of languages. The map was GPS linked so as you drove the tablet automatically started to tell you information relevant to your position on the tour.
