See the city of Reykjavík from above

Head to the Reykjavík domestic Airport (RVK) to board your plane for a scenic flight over the Reykjavík, including the Hengill, Bláfjöll and Esja mountains.

Choose from a morning or afternoon departure and enjoy incredible views of the snow-capped mountains, sparkling seas and volcanic terrain around the world’s most northerly capital city. You’ll also hear informative commentary about the sights from your expert pilot.

Once settled into the small, modern airplane, listen as your experienced pilot-guide explains the flight path for the day’s trip and describes the landmarks you will be flying over.

After taking off and up into the air, get your camera ready to take some envy-inducing photos of the charming, colorful rooftops of Iceland’s capital city, its pretty harbor, and the landmark tower of Hallgrímskirkja church.

Soar over Iceland’s awe-inspiring landscape and soak up the views of the rugged North Atlantic sea, lava fields, and surrounding snow-capped mountains such as Mount Esja and the Bláfjöll mountain range.

Look out for the still-active volcano Hengill, an important source of geothermal activity and folklore. After 20 minutes in the air, return back down to earth at Reykjavík domestic airport, ready to continue exploring the most northerly capital city in the world

Tour Highlights

City of Reykjavík

Reykjavík is the capital and largest city of Iceland. It has a latitude of 64°08' N, making it the world's northernmost capital. With a population of around 120,000, it is the heart of Iceland's cultural, economic and governmental activity. It is among the cleanest, greenest, and safest cities in the world.

Faxaflói Bay

Faxaflói is a bay in southwest Iceland, between the peninsulas of Snæfellsnes and Reykjanes. Reykjavík is situated on its southern shore. Faxaflói has been a source of nourishment of the people living on its shores where fishermen went out in small boats to fish for dinner.

Viðey is the largest island of Kollafjörður Bay in Iceland, near the capital of Reykjavík. The island has archaeological remains dating back to the early 10th century, and was the site where the "father of Reykjavík" Skúli Magnússon constructed his home and a church in the 12th century.

"Reykjavik Sightseeing"

We took the 8 hour bus trip to see as much as we could in a short period of time. The bus was modern and comfortable. The tour guide was informative and we saw some very different landscapes. Parts of Iceland are unique and there are opportunities for awesome pictures. A favourite was watching the Geyser erupt every 8-10 minutes. Very interesting.

"South coast classic"

Just got back from the tour! We went on a large bus that was in pristine condition and always at a comfortable temperature. Though large, the tour felt more intimate than other large bus tours we had been on. The group may have been smaller and both the guide and driver reached out and connected with everyone on the tour. Both answered questions and were very happy to chat about Iceland and Icelandic culture. The audio guides were a nice addition

"Wonderful waterfall tour"

We did the southern Iceland tour that included the glacier hike and visiting three waterfalls. The bus was smaller than other companies, but had free wifi and individual tablets with information about various sights along the way. Our guide was excellent and went with us through a stream into the hidden waterfall area. He also took many pictures of us. I would highly recommend this company and would book them again.
