Golden Circle - In your own time

Explore the iconic Golden Circle, see the legendary Þingvellir National Park, walk where the earth trembles with heat at Geysir Hot Springs and see the undisputed queen of Icelandic waterfalls, Gullfoss. In our newest improvement of the tour you get to decide when and where to stop – and for how long! This unique Hop On / Hop Off tour stops at all of the Golden Circle’s most famous natural wonders and a must-see for any visitor in Iceland.

The duration of the tour is 7,5-11,5 hours depending on how long you choose to stop at Þingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss or on the activity you wish to do on this scenic route. With four departures from every stop on the the route, you can simply sit back and enjoy all the best Iceland has to offer in one day. We for one can recommend taking a picnic at Þingvellir, or hiking up the mountain at Geysir to get a superb view of the area. For possible activities to combine with this classic tour please see below.

First stop is Þingvellir, where you will walk in the footsteps of ancient vikings by visiting the national park Þingvellir. Þingvellir was an open air parliament from 930-1793 set in an extremely dramatic location – in a rift valley, in between high cliffs. Also, there, right before your eyes you will see Iceland’s biggest lake, Þingvallavatn.

From there we will see the world famous Geysir – where the ground trembles and steaming hot water spouts spectacularly skywards from the famous Strokkur Geyser every few minutes. Our last stop is the dramatic Gullfoss Waterfall, which is an breathtaking sight to behold. Here a powerful glacial river cascades down 32 meters on two levels and into a narrow canyon with a thunderous roar.

Take a picnic at Þingvellir, take a longer stroll around Geysir or sit back and enjoy the thunder of Gullfoss for longer! The choice, is yours!

"Reykjavik Sightseeing"

We took the 8 hour bus trip to see as much as we could in a short period of time. The bus was modern and comfortable. The tour guide was informative and we saw some very different landscapes. Parts of Iceland are unique and there are opportunities for awesome pictures. A favourite was watching the Geyser erupt every 8-10 minutes. Very interesting.

"South coast classic"

Just got back from the tour! We went on a large bus that was in pristine condition and always at a comfortable temperature. Though large, the tour felt more intimate than other large bus tours we had been on. The group may have been smaller and both the guide and driver reached out and connected with everyone on the tour. Both answered questions and were very happy to chat about Iceland and Icelandic culture. The audio guides were a nice addition

"Wonderful waterfall tour"

We did the southern Iceland tour that included the glacier hike and visiting three waterfalls. The bus was smaller than other companies, but had free wifi and individual tablets with information about various sights along the way. Our guide was excellent and went with us through a stream into the hidden waterfall area. He also took many pictures of us. I would highly recommend this company and would book them again.
